Tinikling consists of two people sitting on the ground tapping two long bamboo sticks on

The auditions are to perform in the Pinoy Show, an annual student-run show that
celebrates Filipino Culture.

SOPHIA TAY: I THINK THIS IS LIKE, A REALLY REAL PART OF FILIPINO CULTURE, YOU KNOW.
THIS IS LIKE REALLY TIED OUR ROOTS AND GOES WAY BACK, AND I THINK IT’S
GOOD TO SHOW THAT TO PEOPLE.

This year there will be a traditional Tinikling piece, but Tay is also choreographing a
modern Tinkling piece, featuring the hits from today.
