It’s midterm season here at Northwestern. But for theatre majors, midterms look a little different. Here’s Yumi Tallud with the story.
Last weekend, cast lists for theatre shows in the spring came out.
There are eight musicals and 12 plays, making 20 shows total.
Senior theatre major Abraham Deitz-Green likens auditions – or “generals” – to a theatre major midterm season.
ABRAHAM DEITZ-GREEN: Especially because so many theater classes don’t really have– certainly not written exams, and, like, if there is a final, it’s often, like, a performance kind of group project that you spend a lot of in class time working on, generals and callbacks are the mid-quarter final.
Catch Abraham in Crave, a student-written play, this spring.
